Our most popular entry-level workshop, the Soft Cheesemaking Workshop truly unlocks a whole new world for home chefs, foodies and family kitchens.
Over the course of this 100% hands-on day, you will make your own gourmet soft cheeses and see how to adapt them into a multitude of savoury and sweet dishes.
This workshop is taught by home cheese makers, for home cheese makers. We use simple tools in a process that has been modified for a home kitchen environment.
We guarantee you will leave equipped with all the skills you need to make your own gourmet cheeses at home. As well as creating all that delicious cheese, you will save your household money, plus unwanted supermarket additives, plastic packaging and food miles in the process!

Bring an appetite – because cheese tastings, morning tea and a cheese-inspired lunch are all provided, as are workshop notes describing each process in detail.
Our participants almost always finish this workshop telling us they are amazed at how easy home cheesemaking really is. When you think about it, milkmaids have been making cheese in mountain plateaus for centuries, it surely can’t be that difficult in a modern kitchen. We say it’s easier than baking a cake – plus the results are far more versatile than a cake!
All equipment, cultures and complete cheesemaking kits are available for purchase from our retail store on the completion of the workshop.
