Lyndall and Margie recently headed to Melbourne to check out what is on trend in the Melbourne food scene. While there they took the opportunity to met up with some of Australias top chefs. One of the highlights was a day at the iconic Lake House Restaurant in Daylesford where they attended a master class. The day was fun and informative. Lyndall managed to spend a little one on one time with the guest presenters, personally inviting them to visit the Coffs Coast to experience our extensive range sub tropical food and to participate in a cheesemaking workshop.
After a few days in Melbourne, it was off to Adelaide for another cooking class in the Adelaide hills and a trip around the Barossa.
Lyndall said after an amazing week of eating and drinking some of the southern states finest it was lovely to come home to our own foodie’s paradise with seasonal produce that is always in abundance.
The diversity of the Coffs Coast produce is due to our humid, sub tropical environment, which we must say produces the most tantalising products. Lyndall is at the fore front on putting Coffs Harbour on the foodies map as a flourishing food scene.
Funny how we often don’t see what is in our own back yards.
