After relocating from Sydney in 2001, Cheryl has enjoyed the more relaxed lifestyle of the Coffs Coast and what it has on offer. With a passion for good cheese and wine along with a desire to expand her knowledge in the world of cheese, Cheryl has become a highly valued member of our team.
Cheryl true passion for cheese started in 2007 when she spent 6 months living in the UK and travelling Europe. This experience opened up another level of appreciation for artisan cheeses. Having spent 35ish years in the medical industry, she’s say’s working at The Cheesemaking Workshop & Deli is a “dream come true” and takes her back to her travels and has revitalised her tastebuds.
When she’s not in the deli, she also runs a small BnB at her home in Moonee Beach and says meeting and hosting holidaymakers from around the world and Australia ties in with her passion for entertaining and meeting new people. Being able to share her knowledge and passion for our region, plus her love of great cheese ensures Cheryl is a welcoming and gracious host.
Cheryl is a lover of the strong and stinky when it come to cheeses! She loves the bold washed rinds, punchy blues and rich, sharp matured cheeses.
