Completed our Soft Cheesemaking Workshop? Mastered your curd-turning, culturing and pressing? The Advanced Cheesemaking Workshop will take your love of creating your won cheese one step further!

The workshop starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Cheese tastings, morning tea and a delicious cheese inspired lunch are all included in the workshop. This is a fully hands-on workshop, so come prepared ready to make some serious cheese!

Cheese made on the day include:

  • Farm House Cheddar
  • Two types of Blue Vein
  • Havarti
  • Haloumi
  • Mozzarella

The great news is that you can add these delicious cheeses to your repertoire using all the same equipment and similar skills that you acquired to make your soft cheeses.

The Farm House Cheddar we teach is a beautiful, rich cheddar that can be enjoyed by the younger and more mature palette. It melts well and is a delicious served with a cold beer or glass of red.

We cover two different blues. The first is our Bucca Blue – a creamy lush blue with an earthy flavour. The second blue vein we make on the day is our Solitary Island Blue, this is a stilton style cheese that has just the right amount of salt and bite. We admit, blues are our personal favourites here at the Cheesemaking Workshop! So you can count on a passionate, in depth lesson in these savoury, amazing cheeses.

Havarti hails Denmark and is famous for its deliciously mild, subtle flavour and buttery aroma. This is a great table cheese that you will quite often see infused with different flavours. We often make it in little rounds and wax them in red wax.

Originally from Cyprus, Haloumi is the perfect cheese for the BBQ and is commonly served with watermelon. Or you try dusting it in corn flour and pan frying for a crisp texture. Haloumi is a popular addition to on restaurant and café menus – you won’t believe how simple and liberating it is to make your own! The best bit is you can adjust the salt to taste (some commercial haloumi can be overpoweringly salty!)

And who doesn’t love fresh mozzarella?! This is a fun cheese to make and get your hands into – stretching the curd is like adult play dough. The flavour and sumptuousness of your own fresh homemade mozzarella will delight you.

The workshop starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Cheese tastings, morning tea and a delicious cheese inspired lunch are all included in the workshop, plus plenty of cheese tasting! Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

  • No shows and same day cancellations are non-refundable
  • $25 date change fee applies to all changes with 7days of workshop start date
  • 1 free date change outside of the 7days prior to workshop date, any further changes will incur a $25 fee
  • This workshop requires a minimum of 4 people to run
