Pickled grapes

A great way of preserving grapes for later use on your cheese platters.

Pickled grapes are sweet and spicy. You can serve them warm or cool and are the perfect accompaniment to your homemade blue cheeses.



800g crimson grapes

1.5 cups of water

40 ml of ALTO Chardonnay vinegar (available in our deli) or other white wine vinegar

40 g of sugar

6 cinnamon quils

6 star anise



Remove the grapes from the stalk, discard any damages grapes.

Place all ingredients into a saucepan place on low heat and stir until sugar has dissolved. Simmer for 30 mins until liquid has reduced and grapes are soft.

Store grapes in and airtight container in the fridge make sure the pickling liquid covers the grapes. They will keep for 4 weeks.

Serve your pickled grapes alongside your homemade blue cheeses.
