Calcium Solution – 50ml, for Goats Milk Cheese, Mozzarella & More
Suitable for goats milk cheese and homogenised milk. We also use it in making homemade mozzarella.
By adding calcium solution to the milk you will strengthen the curd.
When using in homemade mozzarella, it will give you a better stretch.
Depending on the goats milk you are using, it is a great help when making goats cheese from a Saanen goats or store bought goat milk. Although, I have found it not necessary to add if using Boer goat milk.
To use, add to the milk at the same time and at the same rate as rennet. So if the recipe calls for 1ml of rennet in cool boiled water, add 1ml of calcium solution in cool boiled water at the same time.
