CMW Local Raw Honey 250g
The Cheesemaking Workshop & Deli’s own Local Raw Honey. We’re keeping it in the family here, with all of our honey and honeycomb coming from Wayne, Lyndall’s son.
With hives all around the northern side of the Coffs Coast, they are rotated through our local state forests.
For these jars of honeycomb, we decante the honey ourselves into each jar. We cut the comb in the deli fresh to use on your cheese platters, the honeycomb is available in store only.
How to use honey on a cheese platter, the easy answer – on everything! Drizzled on bries, camemberts, blues, bitey cheddars, cream cheeses, goat cheese, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, the list can easily go on.
Tips on how to serve honey with a cheese platter;
- Operate with the less is more approach, you want the honey to compliment the cheese not completely take over.
- Serve your cheeses with either crackers or bread, having something stable under the cheese to catch any wayward drips.
- Only choose one cheese to drizzle the honey on yourself, we wouldn’t recommend putting it over all the cheeses on a cheese board.
- If you’re not wanting to drizzle the honey over yourself, put the jar of honey to the side of the board for people to help themselves. Alternatively, you can out some of the honey in a dish with a small spoon if you don’t want to use the whole jar.
