Milk Powder For Yoghurt 300g
When making our homemade yoghurt, milk powder is one of the essential ingredients. We LOVE a thick, rich and creamy yoghurt, one that’s packed full of probiotics and sticks to the spoon.
One of the easiest and most convenient ways of creating a thick yoghurt is by adding in milk powder. Making yoghurt at home is REALLY easy, it will take less that 5 minutes of your time and will be ready to eat within 24 hours. Plus you know exactly what goes into what you’re eating – no hidden nasties.
We always recommend a full cream milk for making yoghurt and cheese. The higher the fat content in the milk, the thicker your yogurt will be. Skimmed or Low-Fat Yoghurts quite often use gelatine to thicken the yoghurt. While there’s a lot of people out there happy to consume gelatine, if your vegetarian or looking for the easiest way to create a lovely thick yoghurt – stick to full cream milk mixed with milk powder.
Milk powder is made by evaporating milk until it dries.
