1 Litre Yoghurt Maker – 240v
Easy to use, electric yoghurt maker!
Did you realise you can save yourself hundreds of dollars a year by making your own delicious yoghurt at home? Perfect, homemade yoghurt every time for under $1.60 per kilo and jam packed with goodness. Plus you know exactly what is in it, no preservatives, artificial colours, flavourings or sugar.
Easy to use with just 3 simple ingredients. Probiotic yoghurt culture, milk and milk powder all mixed into the inner pot and allowed to develop. The controlled temperature allows for extended fermentation time, this creates more flavourful yoghurt and draws very little power. The yoghurt maker simply keeps the milk at the correct temperature required for the fermentation process to happen.
Making yoghurt for the first time?
Why not try out Greek Yoghurt and Labne Kit? It comes with the electric yoghurt maker plus the other bits and pieces you’ll need to get you on your way.
Which yoghurt culture is best for you?
To make your own yoghurt, we recommend using a culture. This will give you a consistent final product, plus be jammed packed with probiotics and works out to the $1.60/kg. The cultures we have available are the ABY for a sharp, Greek yoghurt and the ABT for a more natural style yoghurt (we’d recommend this one for most kids). Our yoghurt cultures are built on a base of Lactobacillus acidophilus, probiotic Bifidobacerium strains and Streptococcus termophillus (a non- harmful Streptoccus species).
Your electric yoghurt maker is easily a multi purpose unit. It can also be used to pre make your cheese making cultures for home cheese making. Plus, we use it for making Quark (cream cheese) by using a Type M starter and Mascarpone using a type T starter.
